For this music video by Scouting For Girls, directed by Katie Gascoyne, I had the chance to create early concept art, color keys, and background paintings.
Concept Art & Colour Keys
During the early stages of the music video’s development, we explored several possibilities for the visual style and ultimately settled on a stylized approach featuring bold shapes, rich textures, and minimal line work—designed to help the characters really stand out. Using the storyboard as a guide, I then helped create the color keys for a key section of the short, establishing the mood and lighting for the scenes.
Background Paint
With the color keys and layouts in place, I joined the Background Team in painting the backgrounds for the music video.
